Prevent Email Change

Description

Simple plugin to prevent the user to change his email from the profile screen.

Administrator user can still edit and change the user email.

** NOTE **
This plugin is using jQuery to disable set the email field as disabled.
Although a techee user can bypass this restriction easily, but most users are not techees and there isn’t any other way to do it without changing the WordPress core files which is a bad practice.

If you're not sure what Chrome Dev Tools are, don't use this plugin. It's honest about what it does, I fully agree. But if your audience is non-technical, honesty is good, but not sufficient; they aren't equipped to accurately assess whether this plugin is safe for them to use in their particular circumstances. If the plugin was called "Hide Email Change" and the description said: This doesn't prevent someone from changing their email, it just makes it so the average user won't see that they have that ability. They can still do it if they go digging for it, though, and many people do know how. then I'd say great, and delete this review. I feel silly even writing this, cause it's an ancient no-longer-maintained plugin. But it's still available for download, with a 5-star average, so felt obligated to add a warning.
